EquiSTEP
EquiSTEP is annual statewide requirement for all youth participating in Ohio 4-H Horse Program activities and/or enrolled in a 4-H horse project. EquiSTEP curriculum focuses on helmet safety, equine safety and handling, equine health and nutrition, and sportsmanship and is desinged to rotate topics every year.
Changes for 2026
- Only offered Online
- Youth no longer need their own unique email address to log in to complete EquiSTEP. Use the email that you want their copy of the completion/email certificate sent to.
- 4-H members must watch the videos in their entirety before being able to move to the next section
- Quiz questions are spread throughout the program. Participants will not be able to advance in the program until they answer the question correctly.
