The Allen County Jr. Fair Swine show is partially terminal. The deadline for declaring a non-terminal animal is August 1st. If not declared by August 1st, the project will be considered terminal. An animal's declaration cannot be changed unless it is chosen as grand or reserve champion per ODA regulations. Load out of non-terminal hogs will be Tuesday night from 7pm to 8pm during the fair. Every fair exhibitor must make fair entries for each project that will be exhibited at the 2024 Allen Co. Fair. Entries must be made online before July 1st. Please read the Jr. Fair Handbook for complete information and Department, Division, and Class lists.

Allen County will offer Quality Assurance for 2024. All youth who wish to complete a livestock project for 4-H or FFA are required by Ohio law to complete this training 45 days or more before exhibition.
All Jr. Fair Exhibitors with market livestock, lactating dairy cow, lactating dairy goat, beef, dairy beef, dairy, goats, poultry (breeding or market), rabbits (breeding and market), sheep, goats, and swine must complete Quality Assurance to show at the Allen Co Fair.
Quality Assurance Dates were May 19th and June 4th.

The Allen County Master Gardeners will be presenting thier 23rd Annual Art of Gardening Seminar on Saturday, March 16, 2024. The topics include Hydrangeas, Houseplants, Pest Management, and Pollinators, Plant Divisity, and Pest Management. The cost includes a Continental Breakfast, Lunch, Snacks, and Handouts.
