Quality Assurance is an Ohio Department of Agriuculture (ODA) requirement for all youth in Ohio to participate in their county fair when they take a livestock project. Exhibitors will not be able to show their animals at the fair unless they participate in QA. Quality Assurance is required for all breeding and market projects for poultry, rabbits, dairy, dairy beef, swine, goats, and sheep. Quality Assurance will NOT be offered in clubs for 2026.
This program teaches 4-HÂ youth how to use best practices that support the production of quality and safe animal products for consumers, as well as responsible animal handling, care and welfare in not only farm animal production, but also with companion and performance animals.
