Record Book Information

 Livestock Record Books

Effective 2010:

Please see the list below to find out which record book is required for your 4-H livestock project.  The Record Book must be purchased at the Extension Office for $2.00. Due to copyright regulations, we cannot post the Horse record book on-line.

 Project Book vs Record Book:

  • The project book is for the 4-H member’s reference and each household should have at least one project book to refer to.  The project book has valuable information related to your project and costs $5.00.
  • Many of Ohio 4-H livestock project books also contain a blank record section.  Do not complete this section.
  • Instead – the 4-H member will complete a separate Record Book each year.  This way – instead of buying a $5.00 project book each year, the member can print a new record book at no cost or only spend $2.00.
  • Bring your Record Book to Livestock Skill-a-thon.
