About Family Nutrition Program
The Family Nutrition Program (FNP) also referred to as the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Education (SNAP-Ed), is part of the mission of the Food and Nutrition Service (FNS)-United States Department of Agriculture (USDA). The Family Nutrition Program provides nutrition education programs to SNAP recipients. The program goals are to increase the likelihood that families in need will make healthier food choices for themselves and their children and choose active lifestyles consistent with the Dietary Guidelines for Americans and Choose My Plate.
