"Financial & Tax Implications of Oil & Gas Leases/Royalties Workshops" to be Held
“A $1.00 meeting which may save you thousands!” OSU Extension in Northeast Ohio is pleased to be offering workshops during the winter of 2012 to help landowners understand the financial and tax implications of oil & gas leases/royalties. This workshop titled “Financial & Tax Implications of Oil & Gas Leases/Royalties in Northeast Ohio will feature David Marrison, OSU Extension Associate Professor, who will discuss the financial and tax implications of Marcellus Shale Leases.
Northeast Ohio Agronomy School on January 31, 2012 in Williamsfield, Ohio
The OSU Extension offices in northeast Ohio are pleased to announce the Northeast Ohio Agronomy Day will be held on Tuesday, January 31, 2012 from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the Williamsfield Community Center in Williamsfield, Ohio. Registration will begin at 9:30 a.m.
Pesticide Re-certification Sessions planned for Northeast Ohio in 2012
The OSU Extension offices in northeast Ohio would like to remind farmers who need their private pesticide applicators license renewed by March 31, 2012 that six re-certification sessions will be held in four locations for Northeast Ohio. These sessions will be on January 13 in Medina, January 20 in Williamsfield (two sessions), February 10 in Parkman (two sessions), and March 8 in Perry.

A three-part parenting class on learning strategies for everyday parenting dilemmas and difficulties. All ages and stages covered with an emphasis on participant's child(rens) ages 0-17.
NURSERY GROWERS BE READY!
There is a good chance that many of you will be inspected for the Workers Protected Standards (WPS) program. Some of the issues you will be expected to have ready are: 1.) Safety posters with proper information at the bottom. 2.) Proper training for handlers and workers (documented) every 5 years. 3.) MSDS and label books on record. 4.) Cleanup areas, disposable suits or wash machines and lockers for handlers. 5.) Field posting and central posting areas that are up to date. 6.) Inventory of products. 7.) Spray records with all 8 areas of information filled in. 8.) A coordinator for your business. 9.) Greenhouse posting system. 10.) Proper personnel protective equipment. 11.) Cleanup station for workers 1/4 miles or further from your buildings (clean water, single use towels and soap). 12.) Communication records for applicators using danger use products every 3 hours.
