4-H Camp is a strong tradition for Henry County 4-H’ers. Every year for the past 63 years, youth have enjoyed the facilities at camp. Swimming is one of the most popular activities we include in our program. In recent years the cost of repairs and maintenance of the pool has become an issue… considering the pool has just realized its 53rd season of use~ that can be expected but those costs rise every year. The camp board and staff of 4-H Camp Palmer have made construction of a new pool a priority! Plans are for construction of a new pool by 2012. We have a good start with funds for the project but realize that a continued effort to raise monies for the project is a necessity.

With that in mind, our first major fund raiser for the pool project has been scheduled: A Reverse Drawing!  The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 30th (costumes optional) 5:00 p.m. buffet, 6:00 p.m. drawing at the Ramada Inn, Montpelier (also known as Holiday City). Ticket cost is $100.00 which includes one meal (additional meal tickets are available for $50.00) I am asking that you consider buying one or two tickets to support our youth and the pool project. You may consider purchasing a ticket as a family or group. A total of $11,100 in prize money will be given away. Your odds of winning the top prize of $7000.00 are 1 and 300. You need not be present to win.

Tickets are available at the OSU Extension~ Henry County Office, 104 E. Washington Street Suite 302, Napoleon OH  43545 or by calling me at 419-592-0806.  Ask for Laura Rohlf, Program Coordinator, 4-H Youth Development Your support of 4-H Camp Palmer is greatly appreciated!
