Announcing the Fall Ohio Certified Volunteer Naturalist Training
Ohio Certified Volunteer
Naturalist Training is open to residents of the Miami Valley
Extension Education and
Research Area and surrounding counties. The
Miami Valley EERA includes Butler, Clermont, Clinton, Fayette, Greene, Hamilton,
Montgomery, Preble and Warren Counties.
This ten week, hands-on program focuses
on environmental issues, ecology, wildlife and natural resources. Once
training is completed, members volunteer 40 hours the first year teaching the
values of Ohio’s natural resources to others in area parks. Re-certification
the following year requires eight hours of advanced training and volunteering an
additional 20 hours. Cost is $150.00, which includes OCVN Manual, and
resource publications.

A $50.00 non-refundable
check or money order must accompany your application. The remaining $100.00 is
due the first day of class. The check or money order should be made payable to
OSU-Greene County Extension.
