Greene County Park "James Ranch" Master Gardener Demonstration Garden - Xenia
The Master Gardeners have designed and developed, over the past seven years, 32 garden areas within this demonstration garden. They work very hard to maintain this area with new ideas, new and unusual plants that do well in our area, as well as ideas that you can take home and reproduce in your own garden.  This garden is open to the public the same hours that the park is open. Please take a self guided tour any of those hours. If you are planning an outdoor wedding and are interested in reserving the garden for a wedding, please call the Greene County Parks Office for that reservation.  If your group would like a guided tour of the garden, please call Barb Mills at the Ohio State University Greene County Extension Office (937-372-9971) to set this up.

Wartinger Park- Beavercreek
The Greene County Master Gardeners design, install and maintain the gardens around the log cabins at Wartinger Park. These gardens are being redesigned to reflect the gardens that would have been around the log cabins when they were built. The restoration will not be complete for a few years. There are other gardens at this park such as Herb garden, Rose garden, etc.  This is a Beavercreek City Park and is open during regular park hours. If your group would like a guided tour of this park, you can contact the Beavercreek Historical Society or Barbara Mills at the OSU Greene County Extension Office, 937-372-9971.

Mercer Smith House and Gardens - Fairborn
The gardens at the Mercer Smith House are installed and maintained by the Greene County Master Gardeners. The Mercer- Smith House is the oldest dwelling in Fairborn (log construction). In 2005, the area beside the house was cleared and a new garden area was established. Each spring, in the gardens, plants that the residents of the house would have grown for food and flowers are planted. This garden is used as an educational tool to teach gardening and history to students in Fairborn. The Mercer Smith House and property are part of the Fairborn City Park System and is open to the public during regular park hours.  For more information on this park, call the Fairborn City Parks.

Community Gardens in Fairborn
The Greene County Master Gardeners manage two Community Gardens in Fariborn.  At the location near FIve Points, the Community Garden has several plots that are rented out to individuals or families that want to grow their own food.  There is a $10.00 charge for the garden space per year.  If you are interested in one of these garden plots, please contact Barb Mills at the OSU Greene County Extension Office (937-372-9971).

Mary Help of Christian Church has a Community Garden where Master Gardeners and children from the Mary Help of Christians School grow food for the Fairborn Food Pantry.
