Delaware County supports about 75 4-H clubs across the county. These clubs involve almost 1200 youths, ages 5 to 19, and 320 adult volunteers. Volunteers contribute over 15,000 hours of time to teach life skills such as leadership, decision making and communication skills through project work. 4-H members took over 3,000 projects in 2009.
