About 4-H
4-H instills integrity, service, leadership, sense of duty, and personal growth in the youth it serves. Specific life skills development activities are built into 4-H programs with the goal of helping youth become contributing and productive members of society.
How to Join 4-H & Forms & Information for Joining
Eligibility for 4-H Cloverbud Membership: Begins when a child has reached age 5 and is enrolled in kindergarten as of January 1st of the current year. Membership to the 4-H Program: Begins when a child is at least age 8 and enrolled in 3rd grade as of January 1st of the current year. Ohio membership ends December 31st of the year in which an individual attains the age of 19. Mark your calendars!! The 4-H Club Membership and Project Enrollment Deadline is March 1st in order to participate in Project Judging, Skill-a-thons and The Clermont County Jr. Fair. ALL 4-H MEMBER RE-ENROLLMENT FORMS AND NEW 4-H MEMBER ENROLLMENT FORMS MUST BE TURNED IN BY MARCH 1ST.

The Ohio 4-H Program offers many opportunities for youth to get involved in a variety of ways.
2011 4-H Group Exemption Authorization Non-profit Tax Exempt
The Ohio State University Extension will require as a condition of being a part of 4-H that all 4-H clubs, 4-H affiliates, federations, and councils maintain their own Tax Payer Identification Number (TIN, also known as EIN). Previous national 4-H group exemptions under Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code will be extinguished. All 4-H clubs, 4-H affiliates, federations and councils that were part of a previous national 4-H group exemption must maintain their tax-exempt status through the University’s group exemption.
2012 Livestock Quality Assurance Dates
Quality Assurance is mandatory for all youth ages 8-18 as of January 1 of the current year who are taking a market livestock project to the Clermont County Fair through one of the Junior Fair organizations (4-H, FFA, FCCLA, Boy Scouts, or Girl Scouts).

2012 4-H Publications Order Form
The following publications are described in the Ohio 4-H 2012 Family Guide, available online at www.ohio4h.org/familyguide. Copies are also available from your county Extension office. Payment is required at the time the order is placed.
2013 State 4-H Fashion Board Application
One 2013 State 4-H Fashion Board Nominee per county should submit completed nomination / application materials at 8:30 AM at the State 4-H Fashion Revue registration desk, on the day their county participates in the July 31 - August 2, 2012 State 4-H Fashion Revue.
