Allen County Extension received zero percent funding from the Allen County Commissioners in January of 2009. Currently there is only one staff member who is working from fund raised dollars. There is limited programming being offered at this time but for 2010 all four extension program areas will be covered. The office is currently located on the fairgrounds.

Private Pesticide License Recertification Information
Farmers needing to get their private pesticide applicator license recertified this winter can do so by attending a pesticide recertitication class in one of the surrounding counties. As in past years the recertification will cover the core and categories 1, 2, 8, 9, and 12. Additional categories will be covered following the regular recertification program.

Allen County Livestock Pavilion
Through a recent donation of $300,000 we now have 2/3 of what is needed to build a new livestock pavilion. The pavilion will be located where the horse arena is now and will start construction in April 2010.
